In general a good experience, however I was a little disappointed in the quality of the valeting on the car, very average. Staff were very helpful and attentive it did take a while on pickup day to get all the requested jobs finished despite a 2 week gap between deposit and collection but we got there in the end.
After a bad experience trying to buy a car elsewhere I had a look at FOW and made an enquiry a sales exec called Danny keam contacted me. From then I knew I was having this car Danny went above and beyond to get everything sorted nothing was too much trouble and he dealt with everything and made it a breeze to make the purchase. It was a pleasure to deal with him and couldn’t recommend using FOW enough! And when the times right I’ll be contacting Danny to sort out the next one Thanks!
After having an excellent service when my daughter bought a car last year, I thought I would choose FOW to buy my new vehicle. First visit went fine with a lovely girl called Phebe. We looked at the car I wanted and paid a £250 deposit to buy, subject to a test drive (which I couldn't do at the time as it had no MOT). It also needed a few jobs doing to it. After about 10 days I received an email saying the car was ready and I could come and pick it up. I reminded them that I hadn't driven it yet and also asked if it had been cleaned and valeted to which I was told yes. The next day I arrived at the 11.00am appointment time and the receptionist commented to her colleague that I had come to pick the car up. I again said that I needed to drive it first. After waiting over 45 minutes (Phebe was still with a previous customer) another sales person came and took us on the test drive. We were in a hurry as we were going away later that afternoon. We said we would complete the purchase but had to wait again and were met with yet another sales person who completed the sale. After arriving home, we had a good look at the car and can only say it was filthy. The outside had green algae over all crevices. However, the inside was much worse. We found labels off clothing, boiled sweets stuck inside trays, crumbs between seats and lots of long hair down each side of the seats. There was a thick layer of dust everywhere too. Yes, we should have examined it before we left, but to be honest, if I'm told a car has been cleaned and valeted when spending a decent amount of money, I would expect it to be true. My daughter's car had been immaculate. My husband had to spend all weekend cleaning it. Extremely disappointed.
I had a fantastic experience buying my new car here! The environment is really open, relaxed, and friendly, which made me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived. They have a massive selection of vehicles to choose from, and the ability to reserve a car online and book a test drive ahead of time made everything so convenient. A huge shoutout to Dee, who was absolutely brilliant. Dee was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, answering all my questions and making the entire process feel effortless. The whole buying experience was fast, easy, and stress-free. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for their next vehicle!
Bought a car end of May-25 for £18k, 5 yrs old with 27k miles, within days there were issues with the DPF and Engine knocking, after many delays they sorted these. After 9 months another sensor which should last significantly longer died, they advised as it was after 6 months it was not their responsibility, another couple of months on and the Turbo has gone, again a part that shouldn't be going after just 35k miles but despite this Fords of Winsford have declared again it is not their responsibility and left me with an unreliable £18k family car I cant afford to lose money on. Maybe not legally wrong but certainly morally in my opinion. Watch out as they aren't accredited to the Motor Ombudsman and don't accept Credit Cards, I assume because of the additional protection they provide.
