Previously bought cars from FOW without a hitch however this time was somewhat disappointing. Car did not get any further detailing from when it was initially viewed and whilst the interior was acceptable the exterior was not, mouldy wiper blades and clearly no attempt he’d been made to polish. Communication on the day of collection was poor, as part of all the electronic viewing & signing off we had to do we were sent invoicing for a car we purchased almost twelve months ago from FOW!! However the biggest disappointment we had was a fuel level low light on the dash, now this light was on when we first viewed the car, I would suggest it has been through the workshop etc but no fuel added. I don’t believe any customer should be collecting a car with a low level fuel warning & expected to find a fuel station as soon as they can. I would have gladly have paid for some fuel as part of invoicing but seems like it is not a priority to provide a car with adequate fuel for the customer…..very disappointing.
This is an update of my previous review 20/3/2026. We went to collect our car on the agreed day/time only to be told our car wasn't ready. No phone call, no email. NOT GOOD ENOUGH. We were left in a pickle because we had switched the insurance so our old car was no longer insured so we had to arrange temporary cover until our new car was ready.(FOW paid for this). We live locally so we have bought from FOW a few times in the last 30 years or so and we have always been happy with everything. If your thinking of buying a car from FOW then don't let this review put you off. I'm sure our situation was a one off and we were unlucky it was us. We got a fair price for our old car and we're very pleased with the new one. Tip- make sure your salesman keeps you updated.
Did not feel like a valued customer. When I first drove the car it had a bad judder. The salesman promised it would be fixed. I wanted to make sure that, when I drove it again, we could test it at motorway speed and he agreed. When I went to pick up the car I was kept waiting for over 30 minutes. When I was finally seen, I was told that a test drive at speed was not possible and that the previous salesman had lied to me. The manager apologised and said he would send me an email promising a full refund if they could not fix the judder fault if it reoccurued withing a month. He never emailed me. Overall, a very disappointing experience.
