Car I bought was advertised at 17 799 but when it came to buying it it had gone up to 17899 a difference of 100 pounds ,I have heard of cars going down in price not up secondly the kia warranty states the car must be serviced at regular intervals to comply with there warranty there is no service stamps in the book, where does that leave me?
Didn’t have a great experience with FOW. The staff in general are lovely to speak to but they’re not very helpful and the service the company provide isn’t great at all. It was a very long way away so we asked for a video showing any marks or damage. We were told it was fine and just a few minor issues like a few scuffs on the wheels which will get refurbished and it would be ready on the Wednesday that week. We made plans to travel and took time off work we were calling the garage to no avail and finally got an answer the day of travelling to tell us it wasn’t ready. They then had the car for another week and it still wasn’t ready. The service we received on the phone wasn’t as it should have been, could never get through to anyone to find anything out. We had to again wait until travelling day to find out if the car was ready or not and had to take further time off work. We were again told on the phone that everything was fine with the car and it was ready. We travelled 4.5 hours to get there. Went to look at the car and it was NOT how it was described. There were scratches and marks on the body work, the side door was full of overspray, the tyres were NOT refurbished at all the alloys were scratched and damaged the tyres slashed around the outside, the side skirt had a lot of damage to them and chips missing out of it and lastly the license plate had cracked and separated which working with cars myself I know for sure that it should NOT have passed an MOT. We were told that this was passing standard for a second hand car. When the staff finally came out they did say they would rectify the overspray but that was all as it has been done to a sellable standard. We were supposed to wait 30 mins for this to be done, took more like an hour until we were seen again. The car mechanically is a great car and it has had things done to it before it was sold us but as for the outside of it, they definitely do NOT take care.
Last week i called FOW to arrange viewing of three MB slc cars , silver GF69OCU , black KS18VAE , white OE19FLH on Tuesday after 1 o'clock . The receptionist , Millie ? , said she would book us in for the silver car and make the others available and she would call me on Monday morning to verify that they were available . No call on Monday morning so I called in the afternoon to be told all was ok and they would see us on Tuesday afternoon . On arrival we were given the silver key to view it . It was awful , filthy , damaged wheels and signs of rust we were dissapointed and told the receptionist so . We asked for the black key and were told it was in the " wash " and would be ten minutes . After twenty minutes we were given the key and taken out the back of the building . The car was blocked in with a car tight in front and the rear and both sides so we could not open doors to get in . It was also filthy with damaged wheels , we were again dissapointed and told the receptionist so . We asked for the white key to be told it was off site ! We had travelled 82 miles and arranged days in advanced to view and hopefully purchase a car , the recepionists attitude was non caring and just acted as if it was normal to them . Poor show FOW we , as maybe other potential customers , wasted time and money only to be very dissapointed .
Keen to hand over keys and ask for £250 deposit when viewing but not very forthcoming in providing additional information about the cam belt on the car to be purchased until it was suggested we would not commit to buying the car until this information was known. Then got a call fairly quickly to confirm. Once sale had been agreed the invoice showed the wrong amount as FoW had charged for a warranty that had been declined by us. On collection of the vehicle, the female sales person seemed put out that the docs hadn't been signed beforehand, despite explaining the reason..ie. the balance was wrong on the invoice. She was also irritated by my lack of awareness of the electronic signing process and came across as rather rude and abrupt. We were not informed there was no service book until after the balance payment had been transferred. The Service history received was three pieces of A4 paper! The MOT was promised as part of the sale (as less than 3 month remaining) but checked online upon collection and it was established it hadn't in fact been done. After this error was identified, the MOT was arranged for the same day but a return visit was necessary to collect the car. However, the fuel tank had been topped up as a gesture of goodwill. Despite emailing ahead of the collection date to ask what docs I needed to provide in respect of our car for part ex. FoW failed to respond. Felt the 'male manager' sat out of sight and directed the young members of the team rather than taking ownership and apologising for the shortfall in many areas by FoW. I was promised an email re clearance of stock finance, which has still not been received...6 weeks on.. For an established car dealership, the whole process seemed very average and amateurish.
