I would never ever trust a vehicle that comes out of the workshop for sales on the forecourt. The owner, Laurence is well known for buying second hand car parts from a scrap dealers, fitting them onto vehicles, charging the "retail price" for the second hand part and then carrying out as little work as possible to the vehicles that are bought from auctions on a weekly basis. He is unscrupulous. Sadly, I have had a few interactions with him and his "sloppy seconds" when it comes to used vehicles. He knowingly sold a Vauxhall Corsa that had many faults and when it was returned, he offered a derisory amount too. His "anything for a profit" attitude is one major reason, I personally would never ever buy from him, his garage either! Also his fuel ⛽ prices are always higher than the others on the area too.
Just bought a Japanese BMW 320d from Four Crosses Garage. The car was advertised on Gumtree with excellent photos. I had been looking for this car for several months but it was only after speaking to Richard that I decided to take the plunge and drive the 140 miles to Shrewsbury to see it. I am so glad I did. As soon as I saw it I knew the car was for me. It was like new on account of its previous life being in Japan with its dry climate and lack of salt on the roads. My thanks to Richard and Ruth for all their help. If you are looking for a car I have no hesitation in recommending Richard and Four Crosses Garage. John Fenton
Purchased an immaculate Audi from this garage today, really pleased & a pleasure to do business with. Richard has been knowledgeable, courteous & patient over the last week as we navigated our options. We tested 3 vehicles with no pressure whatsoever, giving us time to make the right decision for our needs/budget. We took the option for an extended warranty for a very reasonable 12 months/\xa3300. Would/will highly recommend.
I’ve recently bought a car from Four Crosses, I can’t deny the staff were very friendly and helpful, but when it came to knowledge and condition of the car they were selling, it was massively lacking.. I was told the car was in perfect working order, no issues, no fixes to be done. When we arrived we realised there were problems with the car, after taking the price down slightly, we agreed and bought the car. Since then, its cost me an extra \xa32,000 above the \xa32,000 they’d already taken off so \xa34,000 and still mounting, that needed fixing in the first place, to be a “perfect” working order car. It’s hard to say the extra problems that have then presented themselves weren’t known to the garage. We were told a RAC check was done on the car, they would have found these faults. If someone is told the car is in perfect working order, no issues, ready to drive away after a near 4 hour to drive to get there in the first place. These issues and extra costs shouldn’t be cropping up less than 4weeks after buying the car. If buying a car, do a full check, make sure it’s actually in “perfect” working order.
