Purchased a used car from dealership very poor cusotmer experience sales man was trying to be helpfull but the red tape he had to follow restricted is assitance. his boss was within ear shot of the discussion and tried to interveen giving what I could only discribe as a lot of bull - I was offered a varity of after sales warrenties wheels paint service paln garnetee all at extra charges adding £2k to the price i declined but i did I purchased a 3 yr garentee plan, No detials of this plan were given, I have no idea what this garentee covers or how I claim if i need to I was auotmatically charge £99 on top of the screen for a customer pack which i was told provided RAC cover puncture repairs / insprections and valets again no detials of this were given on completion of the purchase It all seemed to be verbal information most of which is hard to remember and should I need to use it the dealer can easily say I didnt say That veyr poor just hope the car performs btter thna the sales department
Just picked up my new used car from Evans Halshaw Chester and I couldn't be happier. Not only do I love the car, but the whole experience was simple and straight forward. Phill Holding handled everything for me and made the whole experience stress-free and easy. Would highly recommend.
Purchased a brand-new vehicle from Evans Halshaw Vauxhall York, only for it to arrive damaged on delivery. What has followed has been an extremely disappointing experience in terms of customer service and aftercare. After reporting the damage promptly, I was told that because the delivery paperwork had been signed and photos taken, there was “nothing” the dealership could do, and I was instead directed to deal with their third-party transport company myself. This is despite the fact that my contract is with Evans Halshaw, not their delivery contractor. I responded explaining this and requested that the dealership take ownership of the issue and help resolve it appropriately. Since then, I have sent multiple follow-up emails and even escalated to Vauxhall customer care complaints — after a further 2 weeks i have yet to get a response. Being left with a damaged new vehicle and effectively ignored after purchase is incredibly frustrating and stressful. The lack of accountability and communication has fallen far below the standard I expected from a major dealership group. I am still awaiting a proper resolution.
