Seen a car for sale on autotrader . rang at 9.15 and spoke to a sales person regarding the sale of car .I asked a simple question which was,has the car got a full main dealership history as advertised . I was told that they would have to look into it on the computer ? and they would get back to me in 5mins. never did.phoned again one hour later was told her manger was waiting for a report back. dont know why info was not to hand ? Never called me back.I phoned again,they were still looking into it and they explained that they would have to ring the last owner of the car to see if it had any history as they now havent found any.My point is this!! Dont advertise a car on autotrader saying it has Full main dealership history if you havent got it. Totally missleading and a waste of time how you sell cars i will never know . so glad now after my interaction on the phone that i have saved my self the heartache if any thing went wrong. As i would have to have dealt with them again.unbelievable !!Expecting a robot to reply next saying sorry about your experience with us we will look into it and make improvement to our customer services and advertising .
After asking 3 times to set up a test drive online of a new Renault 5 at Evans Halshaw Edinburgh I gave up and called in. After pressing the new car option ("1") someone from used car sales answered who couldn't care less about me after I said I was looking for a new car. Rather than transfer me or take a note of my number so someone could call back he just you'll have to call back and press 1. Which I had.... On trying to set up a test drive online 3 times, 1 person e-mailed back and said they had a Symbioz, I replied saying I was looking at the 5. Never heard back. Gave up and we have booked in at Renault Peebles who could not have been more helpful. 1 sale for them.
A much better experience than last time. Dealt with Finlay Hill & Rhys in the service department. Both very responsive in customer service. Some process improvements post sale - such as what to do in the event of a fault within 2 days of getting the car and clearing old finance wasn't particularly timely, but overall, pretty hassle free.
