I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel a responsibility to share this experience so others know what they may be getting into. I purchased a BMW 435i from Direct Car Sales Limited, having been assured that their vehicles are not discounted because they are of a high standard and good condition. Unfortunately, that was not my experience at all. Within two days of ownership and after a proper inspection, I discovered multiple serious mechanical issues, including several oil leaks (from the cylinder head cover, oil filter housing, oil pan, oil level sensor, and potentially the rear main seal), steering play, electrical faults, interior noises, and other issues that go far beyond normal “wear and tear”. There were also cosmetic defects that were not properly disclosed at the point of sale. I approached the dealer calmly and reasonably, offering multiple solutions — including having the car repaired properly at a BMW main dealer or specialist, even offering to carry out repairs myself if parts were covered. All of these options were refused. The only resolution offered was to return the vehicle for a refund. While they did eventually agree to a refund, the process was made unnecessarily stressful and unpleasant. Communication became dismissive, my concerns were repeatedly minimised, and I was made to feel unreasonable for raising legitimate issues with a recently purchased vehicle. I was also pressured to return a car that I did not feel was safe to drive over a long distance. In the end, I returned the vehicle simply to bring the situation to a close, but the overall handling of the situation was unprofessional and left a very bad impression. I would strongly advise anyone considering buying from this dealer to carry out extremely thorough checks, not rely solely on assurances given, and be prepared for a difficult process if problems arise after purchase.

!!ABSOLUTELY DO NOT GO NEAR THIS DEALERSHIP.!! In my personal experience, this was one of the most stressful, infuriating, and downright draining encounters I have ever had with any company. If I could shout one thing from the rooftops it would be: STAY AWAY. From the moment I showed interest in the car, I felt pushed, pressured, and talked into believing everything was perfect—“no issues, no advisories, totally ready to go.” Looking back, I honestly feel like every reassuring word was just a distraction from the disaster waiting for me. I travelled over FOUR hours to see this car because I genuinely believed I’d found the one. On the surface? Fine. Underneath? A complete mess—something I only discovered once I got home and my mechanic found fault after fault after fault. I was furious and devastated. And when I reached out to the dealership for help, what did I get? In my experience, nothing but dismissiveness and accusations that I had “paid someone to find faults.” The sheer disrespect of that comment still shocks me. As someone who recently survived a car accident, my anxiety around vehicle safety is already sky-high—and this experience pushed me past breaking point. Trying to sort things through the warranty was another nightmare, as issues I believed were clearly covered suddenly “weren’t,” and I felt completely abandoned in the process. And when I was told to drive a car—one my mechanic considered not roadworthy—four hours back to them? Absolutely not. In my view, that was reckless and showed me exactly how little they cared about my safety. The car later broke down and left me (a young female!) stranded alone on the roadside, terrified and furious that all of this could have been avoided. I understand wear and tear. But major faults appearing 250 miles after an MOT with no advisories felt deeply suspicious to me, which is why I’ve escalated my complaint under the Consumer Rights Act and submitted everything I have to the DVLA. I am writing this because I genuinely don’t want anyone—especially anyone travelling far, anyone vulnerable, anyone who just wants a safe car—to go through what I did. The stress, the fear, the cost, the complete lack of support… I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. !!!!My honest advice: do NOT give this place your time, money, or trust!!!!

Suprise First Car We’ve recently bought our daughter’s first car as a suprise. Excellent professional, polite and friendly service from George and family. Many thanks to Simon for delivering our Ford KA and travelling so far without our daughter having any idea of the delivery! We added balloons, ribbon and a bow, WOW what a gift she totally loves her first car.

Buying a 2nd hand car can be a stressful nightmare that I've never looked forward to or enjoyed, I work hard for my money and I don't and won't give it away easily, however, Simon, Paul & George took their time with me even though they were incredibly busy and I probably came across as a bit of a nuisance but every question was answered and I felt assured so in this instance 5 stars most certainly reflects the service I received and the car I eventually purchased.
