My experience with Carsa, in particular Callum from the Southampton branch, was extremely disappointing and far below the standard of service one would reasonably expect when purchasing a vehicle. When I arrived to collect the car I had already paid for in full, there appeared to be no record that I was expected. No one greeted us upon arrival, and it quickly became clear that the vehicle was not prepared for collection. When the car was eventually brought out, the engine warning light was illuminated and several other issues were immediately apparent. As a result, I was unable to drive the vehicle away as planned, which was both frustrating and concerning given that the purchase had already been completed. Callum initially assured me that the matter would be treated as a priority and resolved promptly. However, despite multiple follow-ups on my part, communication remained poor and I received very little clarity regarding what was actually wrong with the vehicle or what steps were being taken to rectify the issues. Instead of being provided with transparent updates, I was made to feel as though my attempts to obtain information were unreasonable, and I was even described as “aggressive” and “impatient,” which I found both unfair and unprofessional. As a customer who has paid in full for a vehicle, it is entirely reasonable to expect clear communication, transparency about any faults and a firm plan for resolving them. Being told simply to wait until the car was ready, without any explanation of the problems or the intended repairs, did little to inspire confidence. After reading similar experiences from other customers, my trust in Carsa to provide a safe and roadworthy vehicle significantly diminished. Combined with the poor level of customer service I experienced, this left me with little desire to continue doing business with them. Overall, this was a deeply frustrating experience. I would strongly caution others to consider carefully before purchasing a vehicle from this company, particularly if they value professionalism, clear communication and confidence in the condition of the car they are buying.
I was hesitant to leave a negative review however, I think it’s important to share my experience with viewing/buying a vehicle from carsa. I arranged to view a £17,600 car only to arrive and immediately be disheartened to notice significant and obvious dents/scratches to the front right corner of the vehicle which had caused it to partially come away from the car. Being quite a big car dealership I was perhaps wrongly under the impression the car would be in good condition with no obvious defects. The sale associate was clearly unaware of marks and brushed it off by saying the price is taking into account the condition of the car. He did then take pictures of the damage and forward to his manager. Apparently according to the man I dealt with and i quote “ if the dents/scratches are that obvious then why didn’t you notice in the photos online” I was immediately taken back by this comment, I’m a 26 year old girl with limited car experience. I had made numerous calls to Carsa about this car and then travelled 1.5 hours to view and hopefully buy it! After a lengthy back and forth I was offered a very small reduction in price which will most likely not cover the cost of the repair. The manager did say if the damage was seen before then it wouldn’t have been available to view and would have been sent to the repair shop. Disappointing customer service.
Bought a car from their Halesowen branch , paid for the guard x treatment for exterior and interior but when we took car back to have coatings applied told them there were white speckles on paint work which need removing and wheels were heavily coated with brake dust and need polishing, interior dirty needed properly valeting. We were told all would be done before the guardx was applied but getting the car back nothing had been done . Even the salesman apologised for the state of the car .so bought it back a week later to rectify got the car back exactly the same. Contacted customer service told me some one would be in touch heard nothing this has been going on since 23/1/26 still don’t think coatings were correctly applied, but need to be removed to get white paint specs off first, also alloys which should be gloss black need professionaly cleaning.
Was looking for a new car after having my previous car written off. Came across carsa online with a wide selection of vehicles to suit any budget. Found the car I wanted and went to view at their Gloucester site. Xander was very helpful and friendly service from him. Very professional and very happy with my new car.
