Friendly staff but constantly kept waiting as dealing with multiple clients at same time, booked an appointment but could have been done in half that time if part exchange was discussed earlier and not warranty or paint packages as part of their sales pitch. Communication could be improved certain steps were not explained, a couple of times the deal was almost halted in its tracks because of this.
Made a deposit to transfer Volvo xc40 Silver 21 plate T5 auto hybrid to Durham bishop Auckland, what a disappointment In The customer service guy thin baldish head guy, waited 40 after appointment, when sat down all he wanted was the money so negitive he was more wanting to sell me the warranty with the car . Then I viewed the car a few days later to find it had been accident repair after I did ask and was told no! He could even look or acknowledge me when I rearrange the second view so unprofessional service, if that was the service before what would the service be after purchase !! Beware
We’d visited Carsa some time before and had been put off by a pushy sales experience, so I was a bit hesitant to return—but this time was completely different. Booking a test drive online was quick and easy. The salesperson on the day was a lady, and she was friendly, welcoming, and gave us plenty of space to look around. We were even able to take the car out on our own, which we really appreciated—no hard sell at all. We loved the car, and although the team offered to hold it while we went home to think, my husband quickly decided we’d take it! We collected it a few days later, fully charged, after arranging a home charger. The whole process was smooth, and while there’s been a bit of a learning curve switching to a Tesla, we’re loving it. A few days later, I noticed a small noise from the front driver’s side. I took it back in, and a helpful member of staff quickly identified it as the wheel trim. Once removed, the noise stopped—nothing to worry about. The only small suggestion would be to clean the alloys and remove the wheel covers during prep. Overall, a great experience this time—thank you to the whole team, who were all fab!
So first the good stuff. The car was very nice and as described. We also received the quoted online valuation for our part exchange, they didn’t try to knock us down. Now the bad stuff. Despite two prior calls made to confirm that the EV we were buying would have enough charge to test drive and get us home we turned up at 11.00am and were greeted with a cheerful smile. They were expecting us and the chap went to get the keys for our test drive. However the car had no charge, I repeat no charge at all. Not even enough charge to move the car to their EV charging point to charge. We watched as they got a 3 pin extension cable to trickle charge the car to be able to move the car to their charger. From there they put in enough charge to drive the car to a Super Fast Shell garage charger to get to 75% so we could test drive the car. All in all we were there for 5 hours! Completing the paperwork we asked for the Car Handbook only to be told that Kia did them online only and there wasn’t one. Once we got home I flicked through the pictures of our car’s advert only to see it in a picture with the keys! Summary - Good car, shambles of a service at the Towcester branch.
