Bought a low mileage (for age) Seat Alhambra. Adam knocked off \xa3500 for a missing headrest and parcel shelf. Few days later it was flat on our drive due to faulty battery. Adam personally came to our house and got it sorted and tested free of charge. Voltage seems to be holding so hopefully it is the battery and not the car, (got PTSD from an old car with parasitic draw when switched off). Good customer service and discounts. Only reason it's 4 stars is sunroof is also faulty, we can live with it but they didn't draw our attention to it before we bought. And battery issue meant we missed our WeBuyAnyCar appointment, our old car had to be revalued and we lost \xa3500. So... thanks Adam for generosity and help but, overall it'll have to be a 4.
I can't describe in words how disappointed I am with Car of Kinson. It's a car that I was about to buy from them. After my arrival, it was obvious at first glance that the car had a knock and wasn't adjusted properly. The joints on the fender and the front hood were not aligned. The car didn't have air conditioning and there were engine oil stains in the antifreeze. That's not all. They knew that I would be coming a week early. They didn't even bother to check if the car had air conditioning. I wasted my entire day off traveling on trains. I wasted \xa3100 on tickets. I would never write a bad review about a service that I've been blessed with, but with these guys I hit a big tree. Now you say that you offer me a air con re gas but you say is possible at end of week how you expecting me to waste another amount of money to come back from London because you guys didnt look at your job properly and you didnt even say a word for the cosmetics damages Avoid that place !!!
Never again will I buy a car from this garage. After doing a part exchange deal on Monday and paying the difference there and then, getting a reciept for purchase ect. I went back today, (Wednesday) after sorting out my new insurance, to swap cars over. I was told that he wanted another \xa3300 for the deal to be done, after we had already done the deal on Monday. Well to say I am disappointed is an understatement. As an NHS Macmillian HCA, that is 3 long 12.5hr days extra work I will have to do to make up the difference. Which believe me is not only emotionally but physically exhausting. Im not even sure if what happened today is even legal ? But I will be getting some advice from the citizens advice, after my own cancer surgery next week, and taking this further and going public if it is not. Such a shame as the car we drove away in today is a lovely little addition to the family.
DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE. Viewed and put a holding deposit on a car that was for sale, was informed that the work should not take any longer than a week. A week later still not been fixed or ready. another week passed its back but No MOT. but "should be done by friday" booked an appointment for test drive 2 hours before appointment, get a phone call car has Failed MOT and wont be ready for another week. Complete waste of time, to which I could have searched and got a car. Really disappointed with this company.
DO NOT BUY YOUR CARS FROM HERE!!! If we could give a 0 we would. Purchased a car in Nov 2025 and months later we are still being fed lies and excuses about why the ‘mechanic’ is not available to fix a car that he failed to fix once already. And apparently they don’t have another mechanic either! I am also yet to receive any paperwork to prove this work was completed, supposedly a genuine brand new clutch and flywheel. Still debating dropping it off with them and getting our money back. Totally unsafe with our 9 month old!!!
Went to test drive a car, on completion when to go home and sort out the paperwork but my car died on me, with the help of Adam and a quick phone call to his boss they were able to help me out. What great service ( not often seen these days. Top marks and thank you very much, Del, Nissan Duke.
Very disappointed, after buying a car it died within days due to new battery needed, then concerns raised about no air con and suspension and brakes were reviewed at Seaview MOT centre (who worked with Kinson cars and did the previous MOT) and they brushed it off or couldn't fix anything because air con machine broken, just brake harder I was told or these cars make these sounds over bumps. In reality at another garage they explained almost the whole suspension needs replacing including shocks and struts and the brake discs are worn. Unfortunately the warranty is almost worthless as they don't cover wear and tear.
I picked up my new (to me) car today and cannot thank Dan and Adam from cars of Kinson enough. It’s 16 years since I bought a car, They were both really helpful and extremely patient answering my questions (of which there were many) The experience was very straightforward and they kept me updated. Thank you both very much
