I had a brilliant experience buying my VW Beetle from Brookfield Autos. From start to finish they were honest, trustworthy, and genuinely lovely to deal with — no pressure, no salesy nonsense, just clear information! Andrew took the time to answer all my questions, was upfront about everything, and made the whole process feel relaxed and reassuring. It’s so refreshing to buy a car from Brookfield Autos because of how open and honest they were and wanted to make sure the car was the right fit for me! I was able to test drive it, after driving up from London. Anything I wanted checking on the vehicle was checked and any issues that were found were rectified immediately! I drove away feeling confident, looked after, and really happy with my purchase. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Brookfield Autos to anyone looking for a car!

Just got my daughter her first little motor.Andrew was extremely helpful and was even answering my never ending questions on Christmas Eve. Car was delivered by Ben, an equally helpful young man, who we found out was Andrew’s son. Definitely a credit to his dad. From my personal experience I would recommend this company .

Just bought a used car from these guys. Turned up from far without confirming I wanted to purchase and the car was not ready. Andrew and his team went out of their way to accommodate me and, despite it being late afternoon already, they serviced the car so that I was able to drive home the same day and not have to come back a few days later. As I was not used to the car, I kept having to call Andrew on my way home and he responded to all my queries late into the night so that I could get home safe and sound. A* service and great price for the car that I bought. Would definitely travel up again for my next car.

Avoid Brookfield Autos – misleading advertising and dishonest conduct. We purchased a Mini Clubman from Brookfield Autos a few months ago, which was advertised as having full service history. Unfortunately, our experience since then has shown this to be completely untrue. After collecting the car and getting it home, we discovered that it was missing the vast majority of its service history. There were only two service records, nowhere near what would reasonably be described as “full history”. We contacted Brookfield Autos immediately. At first, they said they would try to locate the missing invoices. When they failed to do so, they claimed they had contacted the garage that previously serviced the car and were told that the car did have history, but the garage had changed systems and could no longer access the older records. Despite this, Brookfield Autos continued to stand by their original “full service history” advertisement, even though there was no proof of it whatsoever. Given the clear misrepresentation, we requested a partial refund to reflect the true condition and value of the car. Their response was blunt and dismissive: “we don’t do that.” No attempt was made to resolve the issue fairly. After weeks and weeks of chasing for updates, during which we were repeatedly told they would contact the previous owner to obtain the history, we were eventually told that they had “got the history” and that it had been sent via post. This was extremely hard to believe, as we live five minutes from the garage and had offered multiple times to collect any paperwork in person. The alleged service history never arrived. We contacted Brookfield Autos again to ask where it was, and since then they have completely ignored us. We have been blanked ever since. Overall, Brookfield Autos have proven themselves to be disingenuous, evasive, and untrustworthy. Advertising a car as having full service history when only two services can be proven is misleading at best and dishonest at worst. The lack of transparency, refusal to take responsibility, and repeated false assurances make this a business to avoid. We will be attaching screenshots of text message conversations to this review to support everything stated above. Do not go here.

I’ve been sold a death trap. Collected the car on Monday, 24th November at 5pm. By 8:30am Wednesday, 26th November, I’d nearly been in 3 car crashes - 2 of which my daughter was present for. Out of nowhere, a fault message appeared saying the collision prevention wasn’t working and “inoperative”. Immediately the car grinded to a halt causing the cars behind to nearly crash into the back of us. The engine light was permanently illuminated from that point. After calling into work to explain I wouldn’t be able to make it, I took the car to the dealer and got it back the next day. The engine light continued to be illuminated. 3 days later, on the Sunday, the same thing happened again. This time, I also saw the red warning light with the exclamation mark, indicating something serious. I took the car back in on Monday and got it back later afternoon. I was told it would have to go to their Mercedes specialist. I followed up on the Wednesday and was told to take it in the next day. I was given no time-frame of when I would get my car back and was given an icy blue ex-taxi to drive around in the meantime (which also had issues). 8 days after being without my car - at this point, the dealer had had the car more than I had - I got it back and was told the sensor was replaced. I was delighted and happy to let the last few weeks and inconvenience go as I just wanted to enjoy my new car, finally. The car was fine for 2 weeks until the fault message appeared again (on Xmas day) and the car stopped, whilst on the motorway with no hard shoulder. My 6 year old was terrified and broken hearted when I told her we wouldn’t be able to spend the day with family. Waiting around and trying to get us off the motorway was terrifying. I messaged the owner but heard nothing. As I got the car through Zuto, I rang them to reject the car. The dealership messaged to say I will have to wait until 5th January before they will inspect it (I live seconds away and have said I will drive it in) and “make a decision”. I have provided proof of re-occurring faults and have tried to have patience with the car so what is there to inspect?! They apparently have 3 days to inspect it. Then, assuming there isn’t a scam to refuse a refund, I will have to wait for them to send money back to the lender, and go through the process of finding and securing another car. I cannot be without a car for weeks on end. It is the holidays and I am stranded with my little girl. I have had to cancel several plans already, and will have to cancel a hospital appointment I have waited months for. When I am back at work, I won’t be to get there, and when schools are back, I won’t be to take my daughter in as I refuse to risk her life again. This whole experience has been a nightmare for a month and to think I have another month of it, is both upsetting and infuriating. How anybody could treat their customers like this, and endanger children, is beyond comprehension.

Bought a C4 grand picasso from here few weeks back good car traveled from near Anglesey north Wales to look at the car Andrews son was there he was great help with any questions an went over things with us we then went on test drive Andrew daughter came with us this due to his son doing work in garage. Drove car go few miles, an went back, then drove to Wales talking about the car we seen messaged saying we will take it arranged to collect week after on a Saturday which Andrew was happy to arrange for us to do so due to my working schedule. We have drove here an there car been south Wales an back not missed a beat had car as say few weeks now ideal for our situation. Andrew an his son an daughter brilliant customer service an not once did I or Mrs feel we had to buy an any questions was answered no hesitation an eye contact all time which is good signs. We are arranging to take car over to Andrew to check little something just trying to work a day out at moment for my Mrs to take it, Andrew again is helpful an understanding especially with us living 2.5 hours away. Will be returning to buy next car when we change this one in time. Brilliant work from all am brilliant customer service on viewing the car to collection off the keys. Thank you S . Lynch

Very good experience buying a car from them. The car drives really well, their customer service was top notch. After a week, I noticed a very small problem (nothing major) and they came round to collect the car, at my convenience, and fixed it for me. I normally just look around for a car that would suit my needs that is in my price range, but in future I would look at what they have in stock before doing so. A level of customer service that is often lacking in this market. Thank you very much.

My parter and I admittedly know very little about what to look for, what questions to ask when looking for a new car. Brookfield Autos was recommended to us by a friend and so we went there to have a look around and see what was on offer. I have to say our entire experience with Brookfield has been a really positive one that has ensured we have a ‘local’ that we can call upon in the future for new cars, MOT’s, servicing, and repairs. From the lack of pressure when we first went to look around, the flexibility to accommodate our work patterns to go and test drive a vehicle, to the ease in which we were able to process the sale of the car we decided on. We found Andrew and the team extremely helpful, communicative, and responsive to any questions we had pre and post sale. We will definitely be using them again in the future, and I would recommend them to anyone going forward.
