Buyer beware! At the beginning of April I was car searching online for an automatic small car. Zuto the broker helped me on the search and we found a little corsa that looked perfect in the pictures. As I am a private carer I don’t get allot of time to do things. The car looked perfect for me so the purchase and finance went through. I was told at the time by the sales person that the car had still to go through a mot and service. I wasn’t in a hurry as I still had my old car. A few days later I got a call to say car was ready, I was delighted to go and pick up my new car. When I got to the sales dept, Darren the salesperson asked me to sign a few things before taking me to the car. He was busy talking me through the car when I was inside the car, he failed to tell me about the chips on the car and creases on the passenger door. I drove off and went straight to my daughters to show her the car and she pointed out the chips and creases. As I drove home the traction control light and back break light was showing faults. I called the garage as was told that they could fix the car to a satisfactory level where I was happy. I trusted them to do this but asked my finance company for advice and they said because I have agreed to have it repaired there is nothing they can do, unless the same fault happens again after being repaired. I got a call mid week to advise to bring the car in for repair. I told lisa my finance company told me not to drive the car, so a pick up truck was organised, I asked about a courtesy car to which I was advised that the courtesy cars are all pre booked. I told Lisa I needed a car for my job as vulnerable people rely on me on a daily basis. Lisa told me to leave it with her and she would try sort something out. Lisa called back 20 mins later to advise that she had a courtesy car and it would be a swap over the next day. My car was picked up the next morning nice and early for me to get to my elderly clients. Not even 24 hours later I get a call from Lisa to advise my car is ready. I said “ you can’t have fixed all the damage and paintwork in so short a time surely.” She replied “what paintwork” I messaged Darren and he sent a text saying the dents guy was booked in for Tuesday to see what he can do. I got a call from Lisa on the Tuesday afternoon to say my car was ready. I asked if the chips and creases were out the car and Lisa said as far as she is aware yes. I drove over to inspect my car only to look at the botch job that had been done, my car looks worse than when they started. And there is more scratches on the door than was there originally, I have pictures to prove it. I told Lisa strongly that I was not accepting the car back in that condition, to which she replied that I would have to speak to Darren, I called him right away and Stewart answered the call to tell me that Darren was off and I was to leave the car if I was not happy. I went back and told Lisa and she advised that the courtesy car had to be back as the damage was cosmetic, basically leaving a carer without a car to care for vulnerable people. I was not accepting this and took the courtesy car away. I got a text message from Darren the next morning saying I had to return the car and I had to take the complaint up with my finance company and their customer service department. I called my finance company and they told me there is nothing they can do as it’s cosmetic and I should take it up with Bridgend. I called zuto the broker and they called Bridgend only to be told they are not accepting the car back and the paint job is satisfactory. I can advise no paint was used on my car it has been sanded back and left. Pictures to prove this also, So I have been left with a car with damage and as for Bridgend customer service and garage, I will never use again and I would advise anyone to be very careful when purchasing anything from them. As far as I am concerned you do not treat customers like this. They are cowboys.
From the moment we were met by Gerry he was extremely helpful. He explained everything as I hadlost my V5 for my vehicle that was uplifted by Copart. Bought my Peugeot 3008. after buying car we notice an oil leak on my drive, Nothing was a bother was asked to bring it in to be repaired to which did. Also went back a few days later and Gerry applied my personalised plates. Would recommend Bridgenf Motors to family and friends.
