Unit 1, Ashbrook, Stevenage road, Hitchin, SG4 7JY
My wife had an incident in her car and we needed to replace it asap. We looked at Braceys and they looked sound. We done a deal and things the car needed we were told would be done. Unfortunately crossed wires and the service wasn’t done, hadn’t had a service for 3 years. I drove it home with absolutely no oil in the engine. I’m partly to blame as I took the word of people I didn’t know and left without checking. I had an invoice of \xa3502 for a major service and sump cover replacement as the car had a slight oil leak. Car came with a full motor yet 2 bulbs were not working on the rear of vehicle. Anyway I should have read the reviews because people are saying about dash lights coming on, our engine management light came on less than 24 hours of ownership, we had a diagnosis and thought we had fixed it but it’s came back on so back in the garage to look at it again. Car has cost me a small fortune since buying it. Wasn’t an expensive vehicle but over \xa33k and my wife drives it so I needed it to be sound. I didn’t do enough research or testing of the car really, gear box doesn’t like 3rd gear at all. It was a part exchange and I believe the people that chopped it in done it for these reasons. The car was cleaned and sold as seen really,. So when buy please look closely, pay for inspection or take a mechanic along to check it over.
