I love it here. I dont know much about cars but need a new one so went bmw, mercedes and audit and think this is the best of the 3 by far. There are loads of cars to look at and coffee plus all the staff are very nice. Still not bought one yet so will have to go again. Its a great showroom I reckon the Q4 etron will win but still unsure on EVS....
I had the battery on my key die for less than 24 hours. After replacing the battery I noticed it had gone out of sync with the car, when trying to unlock the car through the button it would set the car alarm off. I thought no problem it’s going in for its MOT 4 days later, I will ask. Spoke to the service manager (who is also a technician) who didn’t have any customer care etiquette and went straight to “a diagnostics on the key will cost you \xa385, I am doing that as a favour since it should be \xa3150.” Didn’t believe me that the key had only lost battery for less than 24 hours. Nothing about “oh that doesn’t sound right, let’s have a look”. Did quite a bit of googling which shows this is a common problem, unlocked my car with the manual key, setting the alarm off. Placing the key in the designated area, starting the ignition and holding down the unlock button. Synchronising the key to the car again and making it work. As this is a common problem the service team at Audi should have known this and that it’s a quick fix. As someone with a service plan I would have expected better service instead of trying get as much money out of me as possible. Edit: just got in my car to go out, ice scraper is broken in half (assume they moved the passenger seat forward without checking the footwel) and the drivers mat is not clicked in place.
I visited Audi Birmingham today to take my car to the service department, and I had an outstanding experience. I was assisted by Aqib, who provided exceptional service—he looked after both me and my car with great care and professionalism. The rest of the team were also very helpful and friendly, making the entire visit seamless. I would highly recommend Audi Birmingham and will definitely be returning soon. Thank you for such a great experience!
No end of problems with this company, a real disappointment. Same problem keeps arising after a warranty service and even though I don't get charged for bringing it in to get fixed it's a total waste of time and a pain in the backside. They also don't seem to have full records of what the fault was that was 'fixed' last time. In February I took the car in for supposed 3-4 hour service and ended up waiting an entire day in the showroom. Turned out the first mechanic to check it hadn't found the fault and they'd almost let me drive the car away with a problem that could have overheated the engine. Second mechanic looked at it and found the issue, hence the four-hour delay. All of this was told to me in hushed tones - outside the showroom - which indicates there was a problem they didn't want other customers, or maybe other employees, to hear. This is meant to be a premium motor vehicle dealership. Next time I'll buy a Toyota!
