I recently bought a VW Golf and couldn’t be happier with both the car and the service we received. A couple of weeks after purchase, i had a small issue, but Sam sorted it out quickly and professionally with no hassle at all. It’s refreshing to deal with someone so helpful and reliable. We felt well looked after from start to finish. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a smooth and trustworthy car buying experience! I’m soooooo happy \U0001f601
It's frustrating and regrettable that I'm having to write this review, as I thought the guys at Bateman & Lynch were good people. I bought a Porsche Taycan from them back in December, albeit slightly below market value, and was assured on several occasions that it had recently had a health check at Porsche. I was told it had been called in for its recall and all outstanding issues on the car had been resolved. I also wasn't informed until post-purchase that the car didn't actually have a V5 document. As a result, they had to send a document off through the post office, which meant I had to wait almost three months for my V5 to come through. During that time, I couldn't tax or insure it. To be fair to them, they ended up paying for my year's road tax as compensation for that. However, since being able to drive the car, I've only driven it maybe 200 or 300 miles and have already had warning lights on the dashboard. I brought it to a local Porsche dealer and it turns out: 1. The air conditioning was faulty and not working. This was an outstanding recall, which would have been raised if they had been telling the truth about the car being brought into a local Porsche garage. 2. Two cooling fans for the vehicle were faulty and will cost over \xa34,000 to replace. So now I'm having to spend \xa34,000 replacing fans and I've been without the car for a week while the air conditioning is being fixed on a recall. All of this would have been noted and noticed had the car actually had a health check at a local Porsche dealer as they claimed. All in all, I feel entirely missold. As a result, I am regrettably giving these guys a one-star review unless they choose to adequately compensate me for the issues they've caused.
Collecting our second car today from Sam and Tom at Tavistock. Amazing experience as always from start to finish. Best car sales in south west by far! All cars stored under cover and given service and new mot. Will be sticking with Bateman and Lynch Tavistock from now on, thanks guys! Mr Mrs Henderson
A really straight forward, no messing experience! The whole area was immaculate, along with a great selection of equally immaculate cars on display. Sam gave us plenty of space and time to view, discuss, drive, and think about what we ‘Really’ wanted. Ending up with us leaving that very same day with a perfectly suitable car, at a very fair price. Thank you Bateman and Lynch cars!
Fantastic car sales , initial contact with Sam was helpful and informative. Arrived to view the car , met with Tom, as it was just myself (mum) and my daughter I was a bit nervous and ready for the big sale , I couldn’t have been more wrong. Tom was wonderful , not pushy at all , answered my “million questions” we didn’t feel under any pressure. Would recommend this garage \U0001f4af % Thank you for putting us at ease and for such a seamless experience . Such nice decent people , thank you \U0001f64f\U0001f3fb
Just purchased a car from Tavistock branch and it was easy process from start to finish, car was just as described and well presented. Was looked after by Sam, no high pressure sales, allowed me all the time I needed to look over the car on my own but was able to answer any questions that I did have. Very pleased with the car and with the way I was looked after. Would definitely recommend, thanks Sam.
