Was the registered keeper of the vehicle Hyundai i20 SC22 XVG. I wrote many times to raise a serious concern regarding the car purchased from you. The vehicle was still in 60-days Arnold Clark warranty and was also covered by the manufacturer’s 5 year guarantee. We keep complaining about this issue from the very first day we drove car home and it stopped working in the middle of the road. We noticed that car began experiencing issues when it stopped unexpectedly. Since then it has broken down a total of four times within four weeks, two times stopping in the middle of the road and now recently it stopped at the traffic lights near the bridge street subway. Once , the situation was particularly unsafe and somebody phoned the police and they came. I tried to restart it but it never respond. They had to assist by moving the vehicle to the side road to ensure safety. This has cause significant concern for us. As this was our first car, we expected it to be safe and reliable. However, due to repeated faults, i never feel safe but anxious about driving this vehicle. Under the Consumer rights Act 2015, goods must be satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. As the vehicle developed faults from the first day and continues to have recurring issues, it does not meet these requirements. Moreover, the service history of the vehicle was misrepresented to us. They provide us with incorrect service history. Arnold clark was unable to find vehicle’s fault despite being at their garage many times. They were indirectly forcing us to keep the vehicle by lying at every step. At the end, we need to part exchange the vehicle as no choice or alternative offered to us and we lost more than £2000 . We are regretting choosing Arnold Clark initially. Totally dissatisfied.
Went to the Wolverhampton branch to purchase my car. Abul was amazing start to finish. He communicated and explained everything extremely well, it was also very quick and smooth. There was a minor issue with the car smell however Abul quickly arranged the next day for me to bring the car in for a deep clean and also arranged for professional car cleaners to come to my house the following day to make sure there would be no more issues so I didn’t have to go back up to the branch with my children again. So far no issues and I am very happy :) x
Ross was very helpful and patient. He was pleasant and did his utmost to help within my budget. Nothing was a problem. Ross also called 2 weeks later to ask if everything was OK and any problems to give give him a ring at any time. On the whole very happy with the service I received from Ross at Arnold clark.
