I purchased a Nissan Juke from Arnold Clark (Stoke of trent ) and within around 5 months of ownership and approximately 2,000 miles, the vehicle developed a serious gearbox-related fault requiring repair. I was also informed that the gearbox may have been previously worked on before my purchase, but despite asking questions about the condition of the vehicle at the time of sale, I was not made aware of any ongoing or potential gearbox concerns. The vehicle is now off the road and awaiting gearbox repair for approximately one month, leaving me without transport for work and daily life. I requested assistance with a courtesy vehicle during this period but this was refused by Paul. This has been very difficult as I rely on the vehicle for work and continue to make finance payments for a car I am currently unable to use. While the repair is being arranged, I feel the level of support provided during this situation has been very limited given the seriousness of a major gearbox fault occurring so soon after purchase. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and helps improve how customers are supported when major faults occur shortly after purchase.
From start to finish a premium service was received from Arnold Clark BYD Newcastle. Initially view a car with Oliver, who then because of holiday commitments passed us on to his colleague Will. Very friendly, knowledgeable and exceeding helpful with every process of buying and explaining details of car's facilities. Would definitely recommend.
