Please allow me to explain the situation from the beginning. I initially approached your Oldbury branch to enquire about trading in my 2018 Audi Q5. I was offered £6,250 for the vehicle, which I found to be both unreasonable and frankly insulting. Following this, I contacted your West Bromwich branch by phone, provided them with the same vehicle details, and—without even inspecting the car—I was offered £12,500, nearly double the original valuation. This inconsistency was concerning but encouraged me to proceed further in the hope of reaching a fair agreement. Unfortunately, upon visiting the West Bromwich branch, I found them unwilling to offer any flexibility on the price of the vehicle I wished to purchase, nor were they prepared to reconsider the valuation of my car, despite evidence that it was valued at approximately £14,200 on the Motorway website. The Audi Q5 I eventually purchased was located at your Falkirk branch. My husband contacted the branch and spoke with the Manager, John, who provided an exceptional level of service. He offered a discounted price, ensured the vehicle had a full tank of fuel, charged the EV battery, and even arranged for us to be collected from Edinburgh Airport and transported to the showroom. This level of professionalism and customer care was in stark contrast to what we experienced in the Midlands. It is extremely disappointing that we felt compelled to travel such a distance to receive an acceptable level of service from your company. The experience with your Oldbury and West Bromwich branches was unacceptable, and it reflects poorly on your brand. I strongly suggest that the staff at these branches take guidance from the Falkirk team on how customer service should be delivered. Based on my experience, I would have no confidence in the Midlands branches representing a company of your standing. I look forward to your response and an explanation as to how such inconsistencies in service and valuation can occur within the same organisation.
