Fantastic experience at Arnold Clark in East Kilbride. Scott Robertson was our sales advisor and he was an absolute pleasure to talk to. Very knowledgeable gentleman who explained everything thoroughly, as well as answered all the questions we had without hesitation. Would highly recommend him, and the garage!
I enquired about a car and was invited to test drive it, all fine but the salesman then jumped in the back which was very off putting. Other cars I have test driven allowed me space to go by myself. On returning to the sale room I enquired about the MOT and was told by the manager that it was all good and only had minor tyre problems in the past. With this knowledge I put down a deposit to hold the car. When I got home I looked up the MOT to find it was actually really quite bad and that the manager had not disclosed the whole truth. I then decided against the car and requested my deposit back. Normally a bank takes 3-5 working days but not Arnold Clark, they took 12 days and only after I hassled them otherwise I would still be waiting. The showroom itself was so big it felt uncomfortable and choosing a car from the local area was almost impossible as you were show cars from all over the country. I would not recommend Arnold Clark and have now bought a great car from an independent garage where honesty and ethics we’re priority.
