Initially I was very impressed with the service I was led to believe I was getting I asked them to investigate a possible oil leak and was told it was over spill from a previous service but that was a year ago I have cleaned it up several times but they still insisted it was the case during my helth check video the mechanic said he would clean it up and run the engine and check it for leaks I checked it the day after I got it back and it is eather still leaking or he did not clean it as it looks exactly the same as it was when I gave them the car when it went in for its service I did take a picture the day before it went in and one the day after I would go back but as I have arranged for the wet belts to be changed by a nother garage it will eather be remedied by that or they will investigate it and fix it for me so disappointed the reception staff was brilliant but no faith in the workshop very disappointed
PLEASE SHARE: Arnold Clark I would like everyone to know exactly how crooked this company really is. Just had my car returned after an engine recall and oil consumption test. During the “complementary health check” I was advised for a 2nd time (also picked up on last health check) that the wrong suspension arm has been fitted to my car 🤔 while I waited for the car to be washed and hoovered I nipped down to my local garage and showed them the health check video. The lovely guy confirmed this was a near impossibility and it’s actually the anti-roll bar D bushes that are worn and need replaced. Note this is also causing me to need drop links replaced more regularly (something they will cover under warranty as they cost pennies) Arnold Clark phoned to say the car was ready so when I went to collect I asked for the service manager. I was told this was incorrect and 2 “technicians” have both picked up on the same thing so it must be that. After trying my best to explain myself (all while the manager was smirking and her wee sidekick nodding along) and was basically told the trusted mechanic I went to is lying. They argued that it wasn’t picked up at the MOT so must have been changed between the MOT and the last time they had it in and found the issue. I explained that this would make sense as the bushes would have become worn and moved the arm after the MOT. Nope, weren’t having any of it. Adamant that their technician is correct. I am being fobbed off and no one will listen. EDIT they also told me that my exhaust clamps had cable ties holding them on. I’ve never had any work to the exhaust since I bought it
I bought a second hand car from Arnold Clark my experience was first class. I recommend that if you are looking for a good vehicle which looks and drives like new then this is the place to try first. The sales people are committed to giving you a first class experience. I had a fantastic salesman who kept me informed every step of the way. I highly recommend Arnold Clark
I purchased a Cupra Born from Arnold Clark Cupra at Seafield Edinburgh. The test drive and subsequent discussions on the part exchange value of my Audi was dealt with very positively by Craig Lumsden and Rory Mackinnon. Their customer service was excellent. The collection day of the car was also very efficient and the car has been faultless. There was an issue with the finance company, VW Financial Services, where they set up the finance incorrectly. After a while Garrett O’Hanlon, the General Sales Manager at Arnold Clark got involved and resolved the situation. Would I recommend Arnold Clark Seafield Edinburgh? Yes, I would. Their customer service for the purchase was excellent, the issue with the finance company was resolved efficiently by the General Sales Manager. If you’re looking to buy a Cupra, then give Craig or Rory a call.
