Saw the vehicle I was interested in on line. Made an enquiry and was contacted within the hour and an appointment set up. On line forms completed before the appointment making itva smoother transaction.Good trade in and service plan. Vehicle ready to go and after 11/2hrs I was taking away my new car. V happy.
Very helpful and was well looked after buying my first brand new car, my trade in vehicle had a HPI issue and was unable to drive away the new car but was given a demo car whilst the issue was corrected and had my new car delivered 2 days later, Ross Maclver went above and beyond to sort everything as quick as he could since I had a tight deadline and was very professional, highly recommend
The overall service at the Arnold Clark York Motorstore I dealt with was very good, all the staff were pleasant and attentive from my initial telephone enquiry and then visiting and looking at the available cars I was interested in onsite. After viewing and a test drive I selected the car I wanted to buy and the subsequent sales and handover experience was very good, I would recommend Arnold Clark to others interested in purchasing a car.
I very rarely feel the need to write negative reviews however when you pay an extra £700-£800 for warrantee when buying a car and you are advised this covers you when it doesn't i believe every customer needs to be warned about this going forward . I took my vehicle in for a 'Free check up' this is free through the warranty but also advertised free on the radio as well as their app - i specifically made sure that i wanted nothing doing to the car if it was going to cost me and they confirmed ok and that it was free, upon collection of my vehicle they had invoiced my car for over £400 worth of repairs and charged me £70 to give the keys back to me for my own vehicle. Once I got my vehicle upon inspection my Orange car was covered in black pain splatter from clearly another vehicle that was in at the time. On top of this they falsely diagnosed my car upon a second opinion my an independent garage which they have admitted to and out in writing. I emailed 3 times to give authority for my partner to speak on my behalf over the course of this month and every time he has called in he has been turned away so i am still no further forward. Please don't let them sell you the dream unfortunety this was the first car I've ever bought for myself and such a milestone has been such a nightmare using Arnold Clarke - I wouldn't recommend them to anyone especially the Birtley branch. Hopefully this will urge them to refund my warranty but i very much doubt it as all they seem to want to do is take money from customers not help them. If anyone has had an experience like this i urge you to speak up to the ombudsman, with all i have provided they are able to help
