I have made multiple attempts to secure a test drive for an OMODA vehicle through Arnold Clark at the Aberdeen branch. On one occasion, I pre-arranged a test drive and travelled 1.5 hours for the appointment, but no one showed up and I was not acknowledged upon arrival in the showroom, meaning I had to leave without testing a car. I then tried the Inverness branch, arranging another visit in advance, only to be informed on arrival that the car had been sent out three hours earlier and that I would need to reschedule yet again. Overall, this has been a very poor experience and a disappointing way to treat prospective customers. I would advise others to avoid at all costs.
26/3/2026 I paid £99 to hold a vehicle for a test drive. 28/3/2026 test drove vehicle, but it was unsuitable for us, but we were interested in another vehicle from another branch which they said they would get on the 30/3/2026. 30/3/2026 I phoned the garage to cancel the viewing and requested a refund of £99, which they agreed to. 13/4/2026 no sign of the refund so I phoned the garage again and they said Accounts dept informed and were dealing with it! 17/4/2026 still not in my account so phoned again, they said it would be in my account on the 19/4/2026. 23/4/2026 no money transferred. phoned again, this time they said they have incorrect details to refund my credit card! and now they say they will send me a cheque in the post!! This whole process has been a pain in the backside and at no time have they contacted myself to explain or apologise. I am now awaiting a cheque. Not happy!! I will never use this garage again. This is the York branch
