I recently purchased a car from Arnold Clark and had an excellent experience from start to finish. Mark in particular was outstanding throughout the whole process. This is the second car I’ve bought through Mark, and his professionalism, knowledge, and customer service are the reason I’m more than happy to drive 50 minutes to East Kilbride just to deal with him again. He made everything straightforward, kept me fully informed throughout, and made the whole experience stress-free. The car was presented in immaculate condition on collection and exactly as described. The finance process was also clearly explained and easy to understand. Overall, a fantastic experience and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Arnold Clark — especially Mark — to anyone looking to buy a car.
Initial experience with sales advisor very good.(David Cowan) Unfortunately he went on holiday and left another sales Genius to complete deal. However he didn't seem to know a few details firstly he said car we were supposed to be buying was in transit but actually it was in the yard in a prity poor state on seeing this we informed him we would not be proceeding with the deal. At this a manager arrived and offered us alternative vehicle which wasn't prepared but he said vehicle would be properly valeted when it was picked up we explained that we were going on holiday the next day. He informed us that the deal had to be completed and car off the site before end of month i therefore arranged for my son to pick it up. When we got home we realised that the car had not been prepared and stunk of smoke and other odores. Took car back on Tuesday 5/5/2026 and arranged for it to go back and get revalited this was done but unfortunately not very well. WILL Take IT BACK WHEN ORIGINAL sales advisor returns from holiday. THIS IS THE 4th vehicle I have purchased over a number of years.
We purchased our vehicle on 28 April 2026 and were told by the salesperson on three separate occasions that we were covered by Vauxhall breakdown as soon as we walked out of the showroom. This was not the case after two hours of owning the vehicle we had a puncture on the motorway and the RAC would not take onerous of our call firstly they said they didn’t have registration and secondly they did not have proof I had paid 12 months tax. It was a nightmare as the only alternative they gave me was to pay £100 call out charge to get us repaired and off the motorway. I only had a receipt for the car tax which they would not accept. Neither RAC or Arnold Clark are being very helpful but as it is a Vauxhall vehicle I would expect them to assist as I wish to recover my £100.
Awful experience today at Arnold Clark Wigan, was told to book in by 08:30 which I did, come 12 noon car still hadn’t moved from where I parked it, spoke to service reception asked why don’t they use a time slot system as they have an idea of how long most jobs take and they know what your fault is as you tell them when booking appointments, they just 08:30 is just a drop off time, how do they assign which cars are looked at and in what order ? Really poor organisational System which just frustrates the customer
