I could happily and cut and paste the last review from Charlie. We too dealt with Joe and he was terrific and ever so helpful during the buying process. The showroom is an Aladdin’s Cave of car treasures, brilliant stock and I’d have happily driven away in any, however there was a budget and we purchased a fantastic Land Rover Velar we love. Thanks very much to Joe and all the A1 crew. A pleasure to deal with and I’d like to think I’ll be back for another sometime soon.

Do not buy from A1 Ortos – a deeply upsetting experience at the worst possible time I bought a car from A1 Ortos in April 2025, and I genuinely wish I had never dealt with them. This was meant to be our first family car, purchased during a very special but vulnerable time, as my partner and I were expecting our first child. I delayed writing this review because I truly wanted to give A1 Ortos every opportunity to do the right thing and resolve the situation fairly. Sadly, they have not. From the outset, the car was mis-sold to me. The salesman, Brett, explicitly told me the car had adjustable suspension. After taking the car home and driving it properly, I realised it did not. When I raised this, he denied ever saying it. I then spoke to the sales manager, Dilan, who also insisted the suspension was adjustable and tried to convince me that “this is just how the suspension is.” While in front of him, I called Audi directly, and Audi confirmed the vehicle does not have adjustable suspension. Only then did it become obvious to them that they were wrong. Even the general manager, Marc, later confirmed that his staff had provided me with incorrect information. During this time, I noticed they had another vehicle of the same specification in stock and intended to request a test drive to compare the two. Before I could even do so, the listing was suddenly taken down. Shortly afterwards, the same car reappeared online, but with the exterior trims now wrapped in black. When I questioned this, I was told this had been done at a customer’s request. However, this explanation made little sense, as the vehicle was then re-advertised with the addition of a “black styling pack.” This only deepened my concerns and left me feeling that information was being altered or presented differently from what was actually the truth. The vehicle was advertised as being in “stunning condition” and an “impeccable example,” yet this could not have been further from the truth. Within a day of driving it home and leaving it parked, the tyre went flat due to valve being sealed with silicone instead of being correctly fitted. The boot would not open at all. Chrome trim had been wrapped black and then crudely painted black, with visible blobs of paint. The oil level dropped to a dangerously low level after barely being driven. Basically there was numerous issues with the paintwork, bodywork, tyres, and interior. This was not a car in “impeccable” condition by any reasonable standard. The most distressing part came when it was time to go to the hospital for the birth of our child. I could not even use the car. The boot would not open, one tyre was flat, and when I finally accessed the boot through the back seats, I discovered the tyre inflation kit was out of date. A car bought specifically to keep my growing family safe was completely unusable at the exact moment we needed it most. The thought of potentially driving my newborn baby home in a car that was not safe to drive is genuinely frightening. After returning home from the hospital, I formally rejected the car and requested a full refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, as the vehicle was not as described and clearly not of acceptable quality. A1 Ortos refused outright. Instead, they offered vague “goodwill” gestures that did nothing to address the seriousness of what had happened. After reading other reviews, this appears to be a pattern rather than an isolated incident. I also asked A1 Ortos to engage in independent mediation by joining The Motor Ombudsman. They refused. Based on my experience, I strongly urge others to stay well away from A1 Ortos. A trustworthy dealership would not mis-sell vehicles, deny responsibility, ignore consumer rights, or refuse independent mediation. Instead, I felt taken advantage of at one of the most vulnerable moments of my life. 15/01/2026 Marc from A1 Ortos has blocked my emails therefor I sent a email from a different emails address to Paul and Marc.
