A comfy ride, relatively responsive steering and plenty of grip in the corners mean overall it’s nicely poised. There’s also a selection of lively engines, most notably the 1.6 and 1.8 petrol’s, which are quite laid back and relaxed but deliver some decent performance; the 2.0 litre diesel gives you that as well as economy.
Taking everything into account then, the Chevrolet Cruze is a fantastic family car that performs above and beyond its price tag. Nicely styled both inside and out, it’s practical, spacious and more than competent out on the road.
