DagenhamA passion for classics Buying, selling, owning, driving. At Evoke, we know that classic cars are a subject of passion. We also know that passion flows in different ways for different enthusiasts. For some, it’s the keepsake purity of a factory original example or high-end nut and bolt restoration; for others it’s the nostalgia and fun factor of a cult motoring icon; for others it’s moving away from originality, blending old and modern in a custom project. We are proud to admit that we like all aspects of the classic car world and the Evoke team are themselves owners, drivers, restorers and customisers who live and breathe classic motoring. Our mission is to make available to you a diverse range of historically significant motor cars, all the best example of type you will find for the given model and price point.

Usable, elegant, and wonderfully honest, it offers a rare opportunity to step directly into the golden age of motoring. Background & History. Originally linked to the world of industry through ownership connected with Tate & Lyle our vendor has shared that it was previously owned by the grandfather of his former employer when working at Tate and Lyle some years ago. Purchased around three years ago and enjoyed thoroughly throughout that time and having achieved a couple of rosettes at some of his local shows. The extensive history file, literally from when it was new, shows that the Rolls Royce was Rebodied circa 1930 by Litchfield of London, as with so many Rolls Royce's of the time. The company plate can also be seen in the images. Its early ownership was tied to the Kerr family, prominent in sugar refining and shipping. Later owned by Scottish entrepreneur John Cuthill Sword, whose vast transport empire included buses, aircraft, and pioneering air ambulance services. Those in the know would have witnessed the Rolls, part of the renowned "Sword Collection" be sold at auction back in 1962. The original auction catalogue being part of the accompanying history file. We can then see from the history that it was displayed for many years at the Aalholm Castle collection in Denmark before sitting in private collections until our vendor scratched that itch. Everyone must own a classic Rolls Royce at some point in their life! FOR FULL DETAILS AND MORE IMAGES, PLEASE SEE OUR WEBSITE. GUIDED AT £35000 TO £40000
