This is not your average example and has clearly been put together properly, with the right parts and a great overall look and drive.The car goes exceptionally well, with the engine running spot on and producing 140bhp on the rollers, helped by breathing modifications including a 4 branch manifold and Pugsport exhaust system. It is fitted with a 106 GTi gearbox and billet lightened flywheel, making it a very lively and enjoyable car to drive.Handling and braking have also been upgraded, with Bilstein dampers front and rear, lowered suspension to suit, and 306 XSi front brakes fitted, which are the largest brakes that will fit under the Series 2 Rallye steel wheels. A nice added touch is the retrofitted power steering, something the Series 1 cars never originally came with.Inside, the car has a great periodcorrect feel with Series 1 Rallye red carpet and mint 106 XSi seats. It is a very wellspecced car with far too much to list fully, and it really needs to be seen to be appreciated.Please note this vehicle is being sold as a conversion, and the mileage cannot be warranted due to the engine conversion and the age of the vehicle.
