2 Previous Owners, Offered for sale on behalf of the owner is this incomplete project RHD C1 Corvette of 1956.Theres enormous potential in this car, whether youre dreaming of a sympathetic restoration, a dedicated trackday build, an electric conversion, or returning it to lefthand drive to mirror the original factory specification. Opportunities like this dont come up often even in the USA, C1s in project form are becoming increasingly scarce.The Chevrolet Corvette C1 represents the very beginning of an American icon. Built from 1953 to 1962, its the first chapter in the Corvette story and one of the most recognisable shapes in classic American motoring. This is your chance to put your own mark on a true piece of automotive history.Finished in black with silver coves and complemented by a red interior, it has all the right ingredients for a standout restoration. Imported into the UK over 50 years ago, it still carries the original engine number and details on the logbook a rare and valuable link to its past.Under the hoodRebuilt LS2 6.0 litre from 2005 Pontiac GTO, with performance parts, pump, titanium retainers etc.Programmed ECU (programme and laptop go with it). Original radiator housing.Corvette central steering shaft.New Corvette C5 EFI fuel pressure regulator (58psi) with braided fuel lines.Battery is in the back with heavyduty cables, 200 amp breakers and relays. 160 amp return cable from the generator.Injector and ignition relays are hidden under the dummy chrome coil covers. Coils hidden under original valve covers using adapter plates.Horns and relay are there and a reproduction screen wash bag and original foot pedal.Wipers are custom and need final fitting under dash.Brakes and clutch need bleeding.Needs a custom front light wiring harness.TransmissionUpgraded TR6060 6 speed gearbox with bronze selectors and modified input shaft.Hydraulic clutch, new master and slave cylinder. Possibly Dodge Challenger?Custom prop shaft with new universal joints.SuspensionC4 Corvette manual rear suspension.C4 Dana 44 rear end, bat wing, with rebuilt hubs, UJ, poly bushes and brakes (differential not rebuilt). Early (1987?).Brakes and wheelsNarrow with ebrake hub (cable needs connecting).Power brakes.C5 front end suspension with new brake calipers, bearings, hoses and brake lines.Performance double damped coil overs.Proportioning valve.Extended new wheel studs.New track rod end.Custom front anti roll bar and links (rear needs work).ExhaustNew stainless steel 2 1/2inch exhaust system with wrapped headers. Seats are potentially from a 59?Front clip is screwed into place and will need bonding.Soft top and windscreenRefurbished soft top frame but no hard top.Refurbished front windscreen and surround.New hood hinges and front clip.BodyworkHood, deck lid, boot, door weather strips are all new, but not fitted.Underside of these have not been painted.Grill and new surround.Acrylic side windows rather than glass; this needs polish.Doors have winders, some new runners, front rear felts with white stitching.New door locks and inside handles.Fuel tank (new) with internal pump for EFI.New tyres 18" with Ali wheels with custom wheel nuts.Chrome on sides are dented and will need work or just buy a new set.Further paint and fibreglass work to finish. Resin and fibreglass plus carbon fibre and paint to finish is included.Lots of original parts plus spare parts to go with it.
