Introduced in 1980, and succeeding Rollss ubiquitous Silver Shadow, the Silver Spirit was produced until 1999. With classic, clean lines and a long, elegant profile, the Silver Spirit is unmistakably a RollsRoyce and featured modern touches that reflected late 20th century aesthetics. The Silver Spirit also incorporated advanced hydraulic selflevelling suspension to ensure a supremely comfortable ride, and features such as poweradjustable seats, climate control, and premium audio were introduced in the late 1980s. Under the bonnet, the Silver Spirit featured the RollsRoyce 6.75 litre V8 engine, delivering smooth, understated power that prioritised comfort over raw performance. Inside, the Connolly leather seats, meticulously crafted wood veneers and plush carpets exude effortless luxury and elegance, whether its occupants are seated in the front or rear.This immaculate 1989 example has been owned by our vendor for over 35 years, and is presented in Royal Blue metallic, over light blue leather seats with white piping. He purchased it from Jack Barclay in 1990 with only 3,000 miles on the clock, and today the mileage is still low, at just over 40,000. Our vendor has continued to keep his beloved Silver Spirit well maintained, with regular services and a current MoT test certificate. The original RollsRoyce service book is available for inspection, with more recent annual service invoices, as the service book is full. Since 2023 he has spent a fourfigure sum on maintenance, with particular attention to the radiator and rear gas spheres. The interior presents very well, with walnut facia added to the doors and dash, and walnut trays added to the front seatbacks.Our vendor has taken tremendous care of his Silver Spirit, however due to medical reasons he has covered just under 2,000 miles in the car over the last eight years. The car has been garaged or in storage for the majority of that time, and our vendor has ensured it has been well maintained and serviced regularly, as can be seen in the complete service history below.
