Extremely versatileImpressive conversionLand Rovers were inspired by the USbuilt Willys Jeep immediately after the war and by 1992; they claimed that 70% of all the vehicles they had ever built were still in use. Before the war, Rover had produced luxury cars which ceased to be in demand in the immediate postwar period and raw materials were strictly rationed to those companies building construction or industrial equipment. Rover's original factory in Coventry had also been bombed, forcing the company to move into a huge factory it had built in Solihull for constructing aircraft. Rebadged models were introduced in 1983 as the Land Rover 90 and the Land Rover 110 with the numbers representing the wheelbase in inches.First registered in 1992, this Defender started life out as a military vehicle. Having served its time in the military, the new owner decided it was time to give it a new lease of life and converted it into an offroading bugout style camper. Externally the camper is fitted with a 13,500lb Rhino carbons series winch, external plug sockets, shower setup, alloy wheels shod in BF Goodrich All Terrain tyres, pullout steps, fold out awning, roof storage, tow bar and LED lights. The vehicle is also finished in durable truck bed textured paint to ensure its protection from any offroad scuffs. Inside this camper is insulated and carpeted and boasts a practical sitting/sleeping area as well as a stove, sink and diesel heater. Lighting and heating controls are well placed by the doors entrance to allow for ease of use.Supplied with a V5C registration document and ready to be enjoyed.
