IVA tested in December 2000Built on a Hawk tubular chassisThe AC Cobra by Hawk is a wellengineered reinterpretation of one of the most iconic sportscars ever built, the AC Cobra. Hawk Cars, a British specialist manufacturer founded in the 1980s, has earned a strong reputation for producing exceptionally accurate and highquality recreations of classic Cobras. Their dedication to craftsmanship, performance, and authenticity makes the Hawk Cobra one of the most respected replicas available today. Based in the United Kingdom, Hawk Cars designs its Cobras with meticulous attention to original 1960s specifications while incorporating subtle modern engineering improvements. The chassis is typically built using durable ladderframe construction, often upgraded for enhanced rigidity and safety. Customers can choose between various body styles, including aluminium or fiberglass, depending on their preference for authenticity or practicality. Under the bonnet, Hawk Cobras commonly feature powerful V8 engines, delivering thrilling performance that mirrors the spirit of the original cars. With lightweight construction and immense torque, these vehicles offer exhilarating acceleration and a raw, engaging driving experience. The deep rumble of a V8 paired with classic roadster styling captures the essence of 1960s motorsport. Inside, the Hawk Cobra maintains a vintage aesthetic with periodstyle gauges, bucket seats, and minimalist trim. However, buyers can tailor the build to include modern conveniences if desired. Each car is often built to order, allowing for customisation in colour, trim, suspension setup, and drivetrain configuration. This AC Cobra by Hawk presents exceedingly well in silver with crimson leather interior, red carpets and red seat belts. Fitted with a Hawk tubular chassis and powered by a welltuned Rover 3.9 litre V8 engine, coupled to a fivespeed gearbox. The interior is well detailed with correct Smiths instrumentation and a period style dished wood rimmed steering wheel. An adjustable pedal box aids the drivers comfort. Full weather equipment accompanies this Hawk, including side screens that have never been used. Sitting proudly on chrome wire wheels, with knockons, alloy front grille and an engine bay that is very neat and tidy, this has clearly been a well looked after example. It was IVA tested in December 2000 and is supplied with a V5 registration document, together with some history. Ultimately, the AC Cobra by Hawk blends timeless design with modern craftsmanship, delivering a faithful tribute to a legendary performance icon. Consigned by Stewart Banks
