The Bentley Bentayga was a landmark vehicle for Bentley, the British luxury automakers first entry into the ultrapremium SUV segment. Unveiled in 2015 and arriving at dealerships in 2017, the Bentayga instantly became one of the most talkedabout SUVs in the world, combining Bentleys traditional craftsmanship with serious offroad capability and surprising performance. At its heart, the Bentayga was powered by a 6.0litre twinturbocharged W12 engine producing around 600bhp and 664 lbft of torque. This prodigious power allowed the SUV to sprint from 060 mph in about 4.0 seconds and reach a top speed over 180 mph figures that were nearly unheardof for a vehicle of its size and weight at the time. Bentley paired the W12 with an eightspeed automatic transmission and an advanced allwheeldrive system, giving the Bentayga confident and capable handling both on roads and on lessforgiving terrain. Technology in the Bentayga included a large infotainment display, navigation, premium audio systems (including optional Naim for Bentley), and a suite of safety features such as adaptive cruise control, lane assist, and night vision.
