Car location
BanburyA remarkable and very rare Honda engined Rover 827 showing just 11,400 miles with 4 previous owners. HISTORY Supplied by Westover Motors in November 1989 and from the old V5 documents it looks like the car was a demo until April 1990 (which explains the highspec engine combined with the low spec trim level, most 827s were Sterlings). It is then thought the car was won in a competition by a Mrs Aldofelix from Ringwood (close to the supplying dealer) and kept by her until 2017. It is thought that she was an employee at Westover Motors. Again online we can see the car was auctioned on eBay in 2017 and sold for around £9,000 with the mileage at 9,900. At this point the car had its service book but that is no longer with the car (we think we have figured out why with some detective work!) The car was featured on the Honest John website in 2017 with all this info. I have printed this out for the cars file. The file contains a few old MOT certificates, the owners hand book and some old V5s. The previous owners spend includes but is not limited to: Wiring fault on headlights traced and cured plus replacement of the headlight low beam relay, NOS Rover part. Battery replaced, original bolt down bracket found and fitted. Stereo not working. Traced down to the two main door speakers being faulty. NOS speakers found and replaced. Brakes bled and tested. Rear nearside flexible brake pipe found to be damaged so one ordered from Rimmers. Wheels sent away for beadblasting and repainting. Wheel covers refurbished and repainted in sliver including Rover emblem centres. 4 x new Michelin allseason Cross Climate 2 tyres fitted. Wheels balanced and geometry realigned. Petrol flap repaired as catch part was missing so a new old stock flap was sourced for the catch parts. New old stock original rear windscreen wiper motor sourced as existing was seized. All wipers x 3 replaced. Headlining replaced. Serviced by the last supplying dealer including oil, oil and air filters and spark plugs. New battery. As you can imagine the car is now working beautifully. The MOT is valid till January 2027. One advisory, a light misting of oil on a shock absorber and a new one is supplied with the car. The windscreen was cracked but a new one, built to order from Pilkingtons, has been fitted at great expense. SPECIFICATION Lynx Bronze metallic with Mink Chalkstripe velour, 2.7 litre fuel injected Honda engine, automatic gearbox with S4 button, electric windows, electric sunroof, electric mirrors, rear wash/wipe, original Philips radio cassette. CONDITION In stunning (but not show car condition all round, see our video for a full condition report), seats are superb, wheels and trims are asnew, paint is glossy and the body and underside is rust free. The interior is presented beautifully and the headlining is new. Tyres are nearly new Michelin crossclimates allround. Under the bonnet and in the boot present beautifully. Motorcheck clear with certificate in hand, owners book and a full set of keys. Tax is £360 per year. Can there be a better one? WHY BUY FROM US?
