Auctioned on Saturday 7th March

Car location
Iver1 Previous Owner, This Lot will be sold at auction at Symphony of Spring; Ascot Racecourse on Saturday 7th March. Rare example of handmade, coachbuilt luxury. Recently retrimmed throughout in blue leather. The origins of this coach builder in particular originally came from Park Ward of Willesden in London, a RollsRoyce subsidiary since the 1930s and H.J. Mulliner & Co. of Chiswick. In fact, Mulliner Park Ward continues to operate as a division of Bentley Motors to this day. This rare & unusual example of twodoor luxury was produced for just four years between 1967 and 1971 before it was renamed the Corniche which was, in fact, a later model. Handbuilt in London, just 505 examples were produced featuring a complex hydraulic, selflevelling suspension and naturally highquality craftsmanship, something that RollsRoyce has always been well known for. Power, initially, came through a 6.25 litre, V8 engine to a threespeed automatic gearbox with discbrakes all round. So desirable, if fact, were these that they were often favoured by celebrities such as Muhammad Ali.Little is known of the early history of this car aside from the fact that it originally came from Los Angeles but more recently a private collection in the Middle East. It was imported earlier this year with all duties paid as seen by the accompanying documents. It is supplied with a new UK V5C registration document as well as full construction records and copies of the original heritage certificates courtesy of the RollsRoyce Owners Club. At some stage recently, this car has undergone some restoration, the Porcelain White paintwork is in good order throughout and the interior has been retrimmed with a contrasting good quality blue leather. The fully functioning electric roof also matches the interior and presents in a midblue vinyl. To each corner, all wheels and tyres are in good condition with tread tested and found to be well within limits. The chrome bumpers and trim are also all in very good condition throughout. The dash benefits from a full complement of dials with no deterioration within the woodwork including the steering wheel. Radio 4 comes curtesy of a modern JVC headend with speakers surreptitiously dotted around the interior. With little recent paperwork to speak of, this represents a perfect opportunity to begin a new life. Consigned by Edward BridgerStille
