This 1972 Jensen Interceptor SP is a rare and highly soughtafter example of one of Britain's most distinctive grand tourers. Documented in Richard Calver's Jensen Chassis Data as chassis number 1314472 with engine number SP10132131, it is a genuine matchingnumbers car. An early production examplenumber 28 of only 232 builtit left the West Bromwich factory on 25 January 1972. The Interceptor SP (for Six Pack) represented the pinnacle of Jensen's performance range, featuring the 7.2litre Chrysler V8 with triple twinbarrel carburettors, producing around 385 bhpmaking it the most powerful production Jensen ever built. It was capable of effortless highspeed cruising and offered luxury and refinement that rivalled Aston Martin and Ferrari of the era.
