Auctioned on Saturday 7th March

Car location
IverThis Lot will be sold at auction at Symphony of Spring; Ascot Racecourse on Saturday 7th March. Built from a 1973 road car, this Mini has been thoughtfully developed into a highperformance fast road example, offering lively performance and excellent usability. While the car has benefitted from competitioninspired engineering during its life, its current setup is focused on reliability, drivability and enjoyment rather than outright motorsport use. An earlier supercharged engine was removed in favour of a naturally aspirated unit better suited to sustained road driving, resulting in a responsive and engaging Mini that remains easy to live with while offering performance well beyond standard specification. The interior is fitted with supportive road bucket seats, that provide a secure driving position without compromising comfort on longer journeys. A full roll cage is installed, offering additional structural rigidity and reassurance, but it does not dominate the cabin and could be removed if a future owner wished to return the car to a more traditional roadfocused layout. Fourpoint harnesses are fitted, alongside a Racetech rev counter incorporating a rev limiter and gearshift lights. Practical features such as heated front and rear screens further enhance everyday usability. Adjustable suspension allows the handling to be tuned to suit road driving, while the removable metal front clam and quickrelease engine mounts provide exceptional access for routine maintenance and servicing.Power comes from a Brett Sims Motorsportbuilt 1330cc engine, constructed in 2023 and used only sparingly since, with around 200 miles of road use. Built with longevity in mind, the engine features forged internals, a mildly tuned rallytype camshaft, drydeck cooling and Weber carburation, delivering strong, flexible performance rather than peaky, raceonly characteristics. A limitedslip differential, uprated clutch and straightcut drop gears ensure the performance is effectively transmitted while remaining manageable in road use. The engine build is supported by comprehensive documentation, with invoices totalling approximately £10,000, in addition to further receipts relating to the build of the car. Overall, this Mini represents a rare opportunity to acquire a seriously quick yet usable fast road car, representing excellent value compared to what it would cost to replicate. Supplied to auction with earlier mentioned invoices detailing works carried out and a V5 registration document. Consigned by Fraser Smith
