This is not a tribute and not a replica, it's a genuine, professionally prepared stunt vehicle built for filming scenes involving the films lead character, Ethan Hunt, portrayed by Tom Cruise.There were a number of similar vehicles on set to allow for stunt damage etc. and we understand that Tom would have driven the others on occasion, however, this car 'Ethan 1' was the 'hero' jeep used during the mine chase scene with Tom Cruise driving it.It was prepared to withstand the demands of major motion picture stunt work and features a fullywelded internal rollcage, 4point stunt harnesses fitted to the front seats, and a professionally installed fire suppression system. A rearmounted steel containment box houses the stunt fuel cell, supported by a dedicated stunt battery and full electrical power isolation system. A secondary stunt braking system operating on the rear wheels is fitted, allowing precise control during filming manoeuvres.
