Ford Cortina 1978 - 3.0 Ghia Auto

1978 Ford Cortina 3.0 Ghia Automatic. This is a RHD Import from South Africa with all tax and duty paid and UK reg has been applied for. its very original, has never been welded and most of the paintwork also looks original. It starts runs and drives but will need a bit recommissioning. we have the original handbooks with the carBody - 4 door Mk Cortina. Totally original and never been welded underneath. Looks like all original panels and mostly paint apart from the bonnet which has been repainted at some point. One small bubble on nsr arch otherwise no signs of rust. Very solid original bodyshell. The colour which is "Avocado" is its original colour with Tan vinyl roof as shown on the build plate. Mechanics - Good 3.0 V6 essex engine. Starts, runs and drives. Will need a service, good checkover and the carb may need adjusted to suit our climate. Feels like it might need a few bushes on the backend as there is a bit of play in the rear end. Interior - All original and really tidy. Couple of minor marks on passenger seat but perfectly useable. good dash top, carpets and door cardsWheels - Original steels with chrome centre caps and trim rings.Overall this is a very honest, solid original old car and a model which we never got here, being the 3.0.
