Are you wanting to get into the Classic car / Morris Minor World and wanting a solid useable first car?Then this 1956 Porcelain Green Split screen Minor could be the one for you.We have been asked to find a new home for this Minor by the widow of its previous owner who loved the car and spent lots of time and money on her, it was a part of their family!Exterior:The exterior of the car is presentable, although it is an area where the Minor could be improved upon in the future, if she had a nice new shiny paint job it would undoubtedly take her to the next level condition wise.Although she looks great in porcelain green and certainly commands a lot of attention.The chrome on the car is good, she has new late rear light clusters fitted so has modern indicators.She has also had a set of reconditioned wheels fitted, the rubbers, trims and badges on the car are in good order.Interior: The Minor has her mostly original interior fitted where it was possible, without using the Loathed P word, she is aged to perfection in the seats, door cards and trims.She has had new headliner and carpets fitted.Overall the interior is nice and clean and useable although as with the exterior could be improved upon over time if that was your wish.Mechanically: The Minor has had a lot of time, effort and money spent on her to make her more useable than the average s2 Minor.She has had a 948cc A series engine fitted for more power, Servo assisted 8 inch drum brakes to increase stopping power, an alternator for improved battery charging, electronic ignition for improved reliability and telescopic rear suspension for a smoother ride.She starts, runs and drives well and to be honest is bags and bags of fun.Structurally: The Minor is solid underneath with no obvious signs of rust or rot, the engine bay and boot compartments appear the same.Summary: In Summary this a very good basis for a road going project / improver or just a good Minor to use as is.She is certainly a bit different from the norm and will grab your imagination as to what can be achieved with her, however as always do not just take our word for it come for a look yourself at our Halifax showroom.** The Minor is sold as a project / trade sale with works required, however we will service her and put a 12 month MOT on her as proof of roadworthiness.
