1955 Austin A50 Cambridge Historic Vehicle

This Austin A50 Cambridge can only be described as a very original example in which the previous owners have done their best to continually maintain its originality and patina, while still ensuring it is maintained and useable. The classic has a very low ownership history. Looking through the large history folder, this A50 sold in 1955 to its first lady owner, this Austin then stayed with the Husband and Wife for just over 45 years! When unfortunately, it was sold on in her estate.Still wearing much of its original paintwork, the vehicle can be described as solid, useable and a great driver for its age.The last gentleman owner used the classic regularly and would show the vehicle at local classic car shows. While in his ownership, he kept up with basic maintenance of the vehicle replacing a coil, points, fuel pump, battery, dynamo, manifold gasket and windscreen rubber but maintained the original appearance of the vehicle.Current V5 document is present and registered as historic, therefore benefits from tax and MOT exemption. The classic only has 4 former keepers registered. The classic has the factory fitted sunroof, original blue leather interior and has had new carpets fitted. The last owner reports that most of the car has been rewired.Within the history folder are older style V5 documents showing ownership history, lots and lots of maintenance, MOT and service invoices (the majority from Ford Main dealer dated 70s). There is an Austin Lubrication Chart, insurance policies from the 70s, licensing papers, MOT check list and MOT certificates.
