However, the release of the 1965 Silver Shadow was considered a revolution for the company. The crisply designed saloon styling, utilising a monocoque construction, was a visual treat, successfully balancing modernity with tradition.Further revolution was evident under its skin, with hydropneumatic suspension and braking set-up and a new range of V8 engines, designed for smoothness rather than pace.
