0 Previous Owners, Ford Escort Mk2 1600 Sport. RHD import from South Africa with all tax and duty paid. Nova declaration has been done and the UK registration has been applied for. This one is a quite a solid car which would benefit from a bit tidying up.Body - Export spec 1600 Sport shell with extra strengthening similar to our RS models. Good original inner wings, strut tops, sills, arches, floors. Front floors are a bit dented. Boot wells have been repaired in the past.Its solid enough but not perfect. Front Spoiler , quarter bumpers, spotlights. Paintwork is ok and useable but not a show queen. Evidence of a small blow in on nsr quarter and ns door looks a slightly different shade in certain light. Evidence of a small previous bump on front of inner wing where it meets front panel. Not visible up top but can be seen from under the inner wing Mechanics - Good 1600 crossflow. 4 speed box. Starts runs and drives. As with any car of this age it will need a good checkover from front to back before being sent sideways down your local B road. Carb will definitely need adjusted for Uk climate and there will be more fettling needing done Interior - Seats have been re-trimmed. Tidy enough job with reproduction fabric available in SA. Door cards are useable, as is the carpet. Headlining been redone and dashtop re-trimmed. Looks OK but not original. Dash clocks have wrong speedo fitted Wheels - 13 x 7 JBW replicas with good tyres. Wheels need a refurbFairly solid example which needs a bit tlc to bring it up to scratch. Not the worst starting point.
