Renowned Triumph specialists, CTM’s rebuild work ensures the engine is strong, reliable and delivers the performance expected of the high-compression, 150bhp CP specification. In place of the original Lucas fuel injection, this TR6 now benefits from a well-executed upgrade to triple Weber 40 DCOE carburettors – a highly regarded conversion that delivers excellent throttle response, tuneability, and that unmistakable Weber induction note.Mechanical attention has continued in recent years. In December 2020, the car was entrusted to APS Motorsport (Historic Touring Car specialists) for a full service, carburettor re-tune, and a programme of mechanical works including new front brake pads, flexible brake hoses, upper wishbone bushes, track rod end, fluids, filters and more – totalling over £540. This complements the major body restoration and earlier engine rebuild, confirming the car has been consistently maintained and sympathetically improved.Further enhancements include Lumenition electronic ignition for reliable starting and smooth running, a Koni telescopic rear shock absorber conversion to sharpen handling, and a beautifully finished Moto-Lita steering wheel which adds a period-correct sporting touch to the cabin.
