Insurance Group 16, PART EX TO CLEAR @ £1995 ono. 2009 Vauxhall Insignia 1.8 16V Exclusiv 4dr (Yes they did do a proper saloon version and this is it!!) * 1.8 Petrol = ULEZ complaint. * 6 speed manual. * Rare saloon model - 4dr with huge boot * Cruise control * Drives brilliantly. * Electric front windows * 136k miles * Will be supplied with a NEW MOT on purchase. Finished in metallic silver. The car is overall a very clean and well presented example of an early Insignia saloon. These early models do not have the problematic electric handbrake of later cars - instead its a conventional handbrake which is far easier on the wallet. This is the rare 4 door saloon variant - again I actually think it is superior to the more common hatchback as it has just as much space in the back with the added security of a proper "boot". The Insignia drives brilliantly and thanks to its 6 speed manual gearbox and cruise control, it's a great car for long motorway journeys. Being the 1.8 petrol model it is ULEZ complaint and does not have a problematic DPF filter, EGR or turbocharger - It's a more simple machine than the diesel model and is all the better for it. Cheap to run and maintain - If you are looking at low-cost family transport this car is virtually unbeatable. Bodywork is overall very clean for the age and mileage but does gave the odd light mark in keeping with the age and mileage. The only damage I noted was the crack in the corner of the front grill as pictures in the last pic - Purely cosmetic and because this area is plastic it will not rust or deteriorate further. SERVICE HISTORY; We have a record for recent service work as listed below; * 22/12/2022 - New cambelt @ Indy garage - Receipt for £350 * 06/07/2023 @ 125,100 miles - Indy service / Thermostat replaced / New spark plugs. * 19/09/2024 @ 130,750 miles - Indy service. Despite this age related wear our Insignia drives as it should and is very reliable. I have been using this car as a daily work hack the past few days and it's been brilliant.
