PARAMOUNT 450 + WEISMANN H/TOP

A Paramount 450 itself is a desirable and rare car thanks to its bespoke nature and limited production numbers, I would be amazed if it wasnt the only one in the world with a Wiesmann hard top! It has covered a sensible mileage of 58,942 miles at the hands of 6 keepers, and has been in the same family for the last 10 years. Present with the car is the original Total Care handbook, 2x sets of keys plus a valet key, owners booklets, user guides for the hardtop. The service book contains stamps from 2001 through 2010 and there are invoices for maintenance carried our since. It has had all the usual XK8/R gremlins sorted including the timing chain tensioners, modified water pump and replacement CATS active damper and worth noting that it had a new fabric roof fitted in 2015. It is HPI clear with no recorded accidents, theft, fire damage or outstanding finance. Paramount Performance Upgrade Info: At the heart of the Paramount 450 is the 4.0-litre supercharged AJ-V8 engine, reworked to produce approximately 450 bhp a significant increase over the factory 370 bhp thanks to a combination of ECU remapping, improved air induction systems, and a custom exhaust setup known as the "Tiger Cat," delivering a more aggressive exhaust note. To handle the increased power, Paramount upgraded the suspension with stiffer springs and dampers, theres a surprising amount more grip and reduced body roll. Braking performance was also improved with the installation of AP Racing calipers, providing better stopping power and fade resistance. Externally, the Paramount 450 often featured subtle styling enhancements to set it apart from a regular XKR such as a custom mesh front grille, lower front splitter with enlarged air dams, lower side skirts and a stunning rear bumper with a wide mesh insert. Wiesmann Hardtop Info: A rare opportunity to have the best of both worlds given our changeable weather! I think it looks fantastic and really suits the lines of the X100, the larger rear window also offers much better rearward visibilty compared to the factory soft top. It is in fantastic condition and proves to be watertight thanks to channels to direct rainwater, contributing to better weather protection. After a lot of research I couldnt find out exactly how many were made, but it certainly wasnt many! Wiesmann has not released official production numbers or costings but it seems they were around 7,000 Euros 15 years ago. Bui.
