Honda S2000 2008 - 2.0 Roadster 2dr

We at Hampden Cars have the pleasure of offering this beautiful Nurburgring blue Honda S2000, an absolute cult classic of a car which proved Japan's dominance in the late 90's early 2000's in the sports car sector. The Honda S2000 began its life in 1999 under the term AP1 which was produced until 2003 where the car received a facelift and many other beneficial mechanical adjustments and creatively named the AP2 which ran until the cease of production in 2009. The Honda S2000 received its biggest upgrade in 2006 specifically as it gained Electronic Stability Control (ESC) as an optional extra which was made mandatory on all 200809 models and as such became far more desirable as they were less likely to be upside down in a Tesco's car park at 2am. The engine is also hailed as one of the best engines ever produced with a staggering 9,000 RPM redline and Hondas amazing VTEC which changes camshaft profiles which allows more fuel into the engine at high RPMs turning a simple convertible into a missile only if you wanted it to whilst achieving great MPG for its performance. The F20C engine is also incredibly reliable as are most older Hondas so no surprise there. This example is completely standard aside from coil overs which is very important as although the engines are reliable standard they can faulter when tuned so finding a standard engine is a must if you don't want a money pit. The roof is leak free but has been subject to repairs over the years with some patchwork on it but the main thing is that it doesn't take in water and keeps that lovely blue interior intact. Despite Japanese metal being very rust prone this S2000 has no visible rust whatsoever from the outside and only minimal on the underside which for a 17 year old car is impressive. The car has various invoices including 10 service stamps half of which from main dealer and has recently had an aircon re-gas. The stereo is also completely original which adds to that nostalgia factor. The car has undergone paintwork on its rear quarters via a top body shop which has a lifetime warranty.
