Volkswagen Golf 2021 - 1.5 TSI 150 R-Line 5dr

Sales experience was good, however car broke down on me after 2 days & took a lot of back and forth trying to get the vehicle recovered as “it wasn’t their problem to recover it, only to fix it”, even though we had breakdown assist from VW. Finally recovered by VW a week later & has taken them 4 days to fix said issue on a car that has only done 500 miles. Guy who sold me the car disappeared off the face of the earth & customer service is absolutely shocking and so is their communication... being told one thing one minute and something else the next. Not what you expect to have to deal with when you’ve paid so much money. So all in all after 2 weeks of having said vehicle, I’ve only actually driven it twice & one of those it went into limp mode! Would 100% avoid

I bought my car from Crewe VW 2 weeks ago. I purposely used a main dealer as I thought I’d get better service than buying privately & also for peace of mind. The salesman wasn’t very on the ball, I wasn’t given a receipt for the sale, didn’t receive a copy of the MOT or service book. I was promised that the car had full service history, however upon receiving the service history, this isn’t the case , so basically he lied. He didn’t reply to emails & I had to chase him for everything. When we went to pick up the car, the alloys-which were supposed to have been professionally repaired- were covered in paint overspray so they looked as if Stevie Wonder had done them in a fog. When I called to speak to him, I was informed he no longer worked there! So maybe he knew he was leaving & couldn’t be bothered to give any form of customer service. This isn’t all the issues I had but you get the gist. So all in all, shoddy service which is a shame as it did take the shine off having a new (to me) car. I should have known better really as when we first went to have a look at what cars they had, nobody came out to see if we needed any help….but we did see a couple of the sales staff having a cigarette so obviously that was more important to them. Hope future buyers of vehicles have better service than I did. Good luck!
