Nice people to talk to, but don't take their word for work to be carried out when buying. I recently travelled 60 mile to buy a van and was pleased by the way it was presented to to me and the no pressure of sale. However, I did point out a couple of issues tyres , brakes and service plus a light lens and mirror cover. These were all put on my order form. On collection of the van the tyres had not been sorted but we did come to an agreement to sort this. As time has gone on 6 weeks, I have slowly discovered that the brake service had not been done I've had to replace all pads and 2 rear discs , I put it on our on brake rollers at work and have to say I'm not sure on validation of the mot brake test. The oil ,air and fuel filters had not been looked at either. After saying all that, these are problems that I have easily rectified myself but shouldn't have to. Still overall pleased with my van ,just disappointed in the vehicle preparation.

Needed a new passenger side wiper blade as mine was torn. I didn’t have an appointment but a technician fitted a new blade while I waited. Excellent service.

We were too tall for the cars I had booked to view. They checked stock and didn't have anything to offer us. That didn't stop Mark taking the time to explain to us which makes and models would be more suitable. Good customer service without a sale. Says alot.

Bought a Renault Captur from Charltons 2 weeks ago and from first travelling down to Boroughbridge to see the car and having a test run in it I could not fault them at all. Nothing was a problem for them and they kept me informed along the way. Everything was ready for me when I went to collect the car. First class customer service courtesy of Mark. Absolutely amazing customer service and highly recommend dealing with Charltons at Boroughbridge. I bought a car from them in July 2024, warranty expired in October and my car unfortunately developed a fault in November. My local garage identified the fault which was very expensive to repair. Spoke to Mark at Charlton’s at Boroughbridge to see if there was any way they could help, and he kindly offered a financial contribution towards the cost - amazing customer service which even our mechanic commented on having dealt with him directly. Thank you Mark and the team, your support with this is very much appreciated.
