Who doesn’t love reading a good horror story? Well here’s mine I bought this car from car city nearly 2 years ago, at the time it was a god awful experience to start with but they were recommended to me by a friend of their staff so I took my patience 3 months from purchase to this car being on my drive way and that was just a starting point. It had “minor body damage” according to their salesman and “would all be fixed” was it? Take a look at these pictures under my cars bumper. I was told countless times that the car was getting new headlights, a new bumper, the works and like I said, I was patient as hell. Now here I am 2 years later getting the car ready to sell and decided to just realign the bumper and headlights as they were a bit off and seemed like an easy job, and if anyone wants to see, there’s evidence within a couple months of my purchase of me telling them the bumper began to sag. Now I’m no mechanic so I’ve taken the car to a friend of mine to give a hand with this repair. Well I’m typing this as he is fashioning new brackets for the headlights because there isn’t any, there also isn’t any for the bumper at all so we’re going to be here a few more hours repairing it and fashioning new ones from aluminium we had lying around. No doubt the ensuing response to myself will be “you signed a paper to say you were happy” and “why did you leave this 2 years?” Well, I did sign a paper to say I’m happy and they knew I wasn’t a mechanic, I’m a property developer for Christ’s sake, the signed paper also says that they replaced all these parts so don’t try give it the big one lads because I’m not here to try get money from you, it’s been two years, I’ve got no gain here. I simply want to warn everyone that it isn’t all sunshine and daisies with this company and I think the funniest part is the headlight washers that got ripped out by their mechanic, wiring and fluids supply being cable tied shut and stuffed behind the wheel arch cover all to be glued shut. Mad. Can’t wait for their response be it direct to my mobile or this review. I’ll be sure add it on like the only new part to this car that they put on, the grill.
