Combining understated elegance with robust mechanicals, the 500 SL variant offered the most powerful engine available to European buyers at the time, featuring a smooth 5-litre V8 paired to a 4-speed automatic gearbox. With a reputation for build quality and refinement, the R107 continues to attract collectors and enthusiasts who appreciate its blend of style, usability and prestige.The Car:Supplied new in the UK in 1984, this 500SL was later taken to Portugal by a long term English owner, where it benefited from a full bare-metal respray in Champagne Metallic.
